New Project
Lilly's New room before and afters
This is the new room for Lilly when we were first working on it. We had to cut doors which you see in this picture.

The cats, Nina the white one and Ollie the black one, decided they needed to help or hinder the project too.

This is her finished yet unpainted room, its wonderful! I love it so much!
Clayton still needs to make the drawer for the dresser. He is so proud of his first big DIY project. Me too I love the dresser.
Proud daddy admiring his work.
There will be shelves above the clothing but they still need to be painted white. There will also be storage below but we are still deciding on that.
The rugs are my favorite because the floor is painted cement and it was important to have something soft. I love the colors. The soon to be made curtains will match these.

So what'd ya thing? I absolutely love it. It turned our apartment from a one bedroom to a two! Its nice. I have to switch to the old computer to do it but I am going to post next Lilly's old room and what it turned into. Then our next project!

The Weekend
The weekend went really well and really fast.
Friday was my parents night. Lilly and I stayed in town with them most of the evening.
Saturday at 9 MIL, Hillary, Bethany and I went to Canton. It's a giant craft and trade thing. You could honestly spend all weekend there and many people do. Its so fun. Once i get my Lilly's Frillies up and going I would really like to have a booth there. Its so packed and wonderful. I bought some tulle for tutus ( it was super cheap) a t-shirt for Clayton's grandmother who we call Nonnie because you almost never find anything that says Nonnie, and some headbands for my bows. So I guess most of the stuff I bought was a business investment.
When we got home from Canton Clayton and FIL had finished Lilly's new room which I have before and after photos of to post later. That was an amazing surprise because it is beautiful and we moved her in immediately. I mean she still sleeps with us but having all her stuff in one place is great.
That set us on a cleaning path and we got our new dinning room completely set up and ready to use. The we went to bed. This morning we let Sandra and FIL keep Lils for a while and cleaned our bedroom. We still need a bed frame and will get it tomorrow since the room is spotless.
The we got baby ready for Holly's birthday. She wore her blue jean shorts for the first time and it was adorable! We saw the fam at Holly's 5th bday celebration and I regretted not making her the tutu like I had planned so I am making it for her real bday...tuesday. It will be white and black with a little pink.
After party we went to target and got the table for my new crafting area and a new pink chair. We also got baby Luke his presents for this coming weekends shower. I will post pics because Hils doesn't read this blog yet.
My craft area is not set up yet but I printed the pattern for the boppy pillow cover from Vanilla Joy on my blogs that I read list. I gotta make at least three of those. One for me as a practice and then one for Hils and one for Luana.
I got a lot of great ideas from Canton this weekend but gotta work on the stuff I have already committed to this month. My list is long. It will be its own post.
Next weekend wont be nearly as productive but hopefully we will get house liveable since we can't really clean during the week its hard.
Next weekend is:
Friday- Elks football varsity game (Lilly's first! Class of 2026) then she will spend the night with DeeDaw.
Saturday- Starts with Wedding at 11 and lasts till about 3, then 50th anniversary party an hour away at 6 gotta leave by about 4.
Sunday- rounds out the weekend with Hill's first baby shower (not the one I am throwing).
Wow busy!
Tomorrow is dinner with FIL and Sandra to thank them for help with new room and Clayton getting a job.
Rest of week....idk.

Fabric and its purposes
This is my absolutely favorite fabric. It matches Lilly's travel system almost exactly. I haven't cut anything from the 2 yards I bought because I don't want to waste any of it. But I do have big plans for it. Oh yeah! It's corduroy. That doesn't look right is that how you spell it?
This is one of the two burpies in this fabric that I made for Lilly. It is pinned and ready to be sewn.
This is a close up of the fabric.
This is one of the four burpies in this fabric. Two for each of my sis-in-laws who both are having baby boys!
another pick of pinned burpie...bad pic
Close up of the fabric

I love all three of these cord fabrics. They were in the fall section at Hobby Lobby. I am making burpies out of them, boppy pillow covers and probably a blanket or two.

Flowers
Below are some of the flowers I have made to sell and I have made Lilly a duplicate of each so later I can take modeled photos.
The first is this lovely purple one. Its a small flower and would look great on a headband or beanie.
Then there is this solid hot pink.
This orange is perfect for fall!
This is two toned pink.
An opposite two toned pink.
Bad picture quality makes this awesome plum look blueish but its really deep plum.
Can't go wrong with innocent white.
A good fall yellow but still bright enough to work in spring and summer too!
This is another purple like the first one but it is a larger version.
I still have a green to make and then this week I am going to pick up some more fall colors like brown, maroon, sage-y green, etc.
I also need to order some headbands and beanies. I love the new cotton colored headnands because there are so many options, the crochet are always nice and have some variety. I make my own nylon for babies and right now have white, ivory and black, need to pick up brown. The beanies I have never used but I am dying for little Lils to have a brown one!
